01 - Puppet Master

Sweeping black gestures meet taut vertical lines, creating a restless choreography across a pale slate. Dense blocks of paint anchor the composition while thinner marks trail, cross, and fray at their edges. Each movement seems caught between its own momentum and an unseen force redirecting it. The title gives these encounters a charged ambiguity. Lines might be strings, barriers, or connections, while curved forms appear to yield in one passage and break free in another. No single presence holds the reins in totality. Instead, the eye follows a shifting balance of command and resistance, left to wonder where control resides, and how easily it changes hands. As one examines the structure's composition, it becomes clear that true magic tends to happen in the gray areas.
